Plan A Visit
What time is your service and how long does it last?
Our Sunday Service starts at 10:30 am and ends around 11:45 am.
What is your service like?
The atmosphere is relaxed, the blend of contemporary and traditional worship songs are inspiring and invigorating, and the Bible-based messages are meaningful and relevant to daily life.
Who attends First Baptist Church, LC?
Our members and guests are young and old, single and married, with and without children. Whatever you age and where ever you are in life we have a place for you here at First Baptist Church.
Where will my kids go?
Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” Matthew 19:4
We believe that children of all ages are a gift and treasure from God, and they are to be taught and raised up to know just how much they are loved. We strive to partner with the parents in laying a foundation of spiritual truth so that each child will know he is treasured and, in God’s timing, become a follower of Jesus Christ, and grow to know, love and serve Him.
Childcare for Infants through Pre-K is provided in our nursery area.
Have your K – 5th grade child sit with you in the sanctuary at the start of the service. After the worship songs the children will be dismissed to “J.A.M. Session” on the second floor. The will participate in large group Bible study and application time.
Middle School and High School kids are invited to join us for the entire Sunday Worship Service.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code at our church. Many people dress up, and just as many come dressed casually. When you worship with us you should be comfortable. Your comfort may be traditional church attire, jeans and sneakers or business casual. Come as you are!
As a guest, will I have to say anything or be singled out?
You will not be asked to say anything or introduce yourself as a guest. As our way of welcoming you, we offer all of our First Time Guests a small gift to thank you for visiting with us, as well as, a guest information card to fill out if you would like more information about our church. If you prefer not to fill out the information card, that is fine. We do not want you to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable.
Will I be asked to give an offering?
As a guest, you are welcome but not expected to make an offering. The Tithes and Offerings portion of our service is a time of celebration at FBC. Our members are excited to give as part of their commitment to God and the church, according to Luke 6:38.
If I need prayer, will you pray for me?
FBC is a praying church! We have an intercessory prayer room where church members are praying every day. Our staff prays for needs and concerns every week during weekly staff meetings. An invitation is given after each service for those who are in need of salvation or prayer to come forward and be prayed for. If you wish, you may also submit a prayer request through the prayer request tab on our website, through a prayer request card found in the worship center or you can call our Prayer Room at 337-436-6329.
Does your church take Communion?
The Lord’s Supper is observed once a quarter. All believers in Christ are welcome to participate.
